Windows 10 is going into retirement, and Microsoft will be ending support for the Operating System (OS) on October 14th, 2025. From this date, devices will no longer receive security updates, leaving users open to potential security threats. Office 365 will eventually stop working on Windows 10 as will other applications as app developers move away from the OS.
What do you need to do?
The first step in upgrading to Windows 11 is checking if your device is eligible. Most modern PCs will be eligible for the upgrade (it requires 4GB RAM, 1GHz CPU, 64GB storage and a 64-bit processor as well as a TPM security chip and Secure Boot capability (this has been standard for the last 6 years or so)).
Once you decide it’s time to roll out the new OS, we can support you through the process by:
- Checking your system compatibility – we are offering a free eligibility check for all your devices.
- Managing the update rollout – our team of engineers will run the update rollout for you, getting all your devices seamlessly moved over to Windows 11.
- Troubleshoot installation issues – if any issues arise around the update, we’ll be on hand to swiftly find a resolution.
- Backing up your data to the cloud – if you don’t already have a secure cloud back-up for your data, we can provide this for you, giving you the extra peace of mind that all your data is secure through the transition.
- Training on new features of Windows 11 – Windows 11 brings with it some exciting new features such as snap layouts, snap groups and the introduction of Microsoft’s generative AI chatbot Copilot. Our team can help you understand these new functions and how they can improve productivity within your business.
- Purchasing new PC’s – if you have any devices that aren’t eligible for the update, we can assist you in purchasing new PC’s. Our hardware experts can recommend options for the right device for your needs and our engineers can have your data seamlessly transferred over so you can begin working on your new device straight away.
